Trimming the Sails.Sail Canada Brand / Digital
Established in 1931, Sail Canada is the national governing body for the sport of sailing.
The Association promotes sailing in all its forms including yachting through collaboration with the Provincial Sailing Associations, member clubs, schools, and many individual stakeholders. It represents the interests of over 80,000 active members and more than 1 Million Canadian Sailors.
With Tokyo 2020 on the horizon, Sail Canada knew that this was an ideal time to revisit their brand identity and website to better serve their members, associations and clubs.
The new visual identity was designed to leverage the significant brand equity in the previous mark while enhancing its lines, introducing a true bilingual identity and establishing some much-needed brand standards.
A fully responsive website was developed to enhance the User Experience, streamline content flow and allow the beauty and excitement of the sport to shine. Perhaps more importantly, the new website (featuring a bilingual Content Management System) provides Sail Canada’s administrators with intuitive control for over 95% of the content on the website.
A fully integrated e-commerce solution was deployed as part of the new website allowing members and fans alike to purchase branded sportswear, books & manuals and accessories.
