It all started with a blank canvas.

Quinte Arts Council Brand / Digital

Officially formed in 1967, the Quinte Arts Council has been the community leader in advancing, cultivating, promoting and advocating for a vibrant and diverse arts community in the Quinte region.

With a new leadership team, recently remodelled office & gallery space and hopes of the Pandemic coming to end, it was the perfect time for the Quinte Art Council (QAC) to revisit its brand and digital experience. With the support of a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, QAC wanted to set the foundation for the organization to better support and promote the hundreds of local artists and art groups in the Quinte Region by creating a more defined brand and premium digital experience for members and users alike.

The primary logo mark was designed to create a bit of an optical illusion, forming an abstract ‘Q’ as well as an umbrella resting on its side – to represent QAC’s flagship arts publication, Umbrella. While the primary brand colour is slate-grey, the brand was designed to adapt to its surrounding in a chameleon-like fashion.

An extendible brand that works across a variety of mediums including digital and print.

We designed and redeveloped the Quinte Arts Council website to provide a premium user experience on all devices and providing a strong focus on profiling members, art disciplines and events. Equally as important, Quinte Arts Council was provided an intuitive and streamline Content Management System for editing content, member profiles & more.
