THE CASE

For more than 10 years David Rocco has been a familiar face on multiple television networks, spanning more than 150 countries worldwide. The celebrity chef, author, actor and producer has produced and starred in world renowned culinary television series like Dolce Vita, Amalfi Getaway and Avventura. Just ahead of his recent launch, Dolce India, David realized that his website was outdated on many levels and wanted a fresh digital footprint to coincide with the launch of his latest TV series. He turned to the folks at THEY to help him take his digital brand to the next level.

THE APPROACH

After an initial brand interview with David and his management team, it became very apparent that the website at the time was a huge disconnect from David’s personal style and brand; in fact it was quite the opposite. The team at THEY began mapping out an intuitive user interface and information architecture flow that allowed David’s brand personality to shine and users the ability to find useful information quickly and efficiently.

The responsive site built on a highly customized version of WordPress to allow the client to have total control over the content moving forward. Custom taxonomies and category relationships were created to seamlessly cross reference and connect information related to each series and episode.

THE OUTCOME

David Rocco’s new site was launched just prior to the Canadian debut of Dolce India. The responsive site renders beautifully on all devices and the David’s team has 100% control over all website content.
